Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vasco Colimán started the match with the kick off. Valiente Quintero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milián Solminihac, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Maitenes FC's zone, Milián Solminihac stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valiente Quintero came out of the goal and Milián Solminihac tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonides Urtaza didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 7th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, Mario Salazar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonides Urtaza. Guanacarane's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mario Salazar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The supporters of Guanacarane booed when Maitenes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandro Oxman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonides Urtaza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yoel Pontigo's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. After a rather tough play, Guanacarane's Lucio Jose María Casos got a free kick in the 16th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Yoel Pontigo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maitenes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Yoel Pontigo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonides Urtaza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mario Salazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexandre Gatica hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Yoel Pontigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Urtaza having to interfere. In the 30th match minute, Guanacarane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucio Jose María Casos to maneuver through the defense. Maitenes FC's Iván Telaeche shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 31st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Leonides Urtaza but with some difficulty. The audience was convinced that Milián Solminihac's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valiente Quintero was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. 34 minutes into the match, Guanacarane's goal looked a bit too open when Yoel Pontigo came free, but Leonides Urtaza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yoel Pontigo to strike the kick off in the second half. Valiente Quintero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vasco Colimán in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Guanacarane getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Jasone Rabe hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, Guanacarane's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Salazar came free, but Leonides Urtaza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mario Salazar in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonides Urtaza saved Guanacarane from getting behind. In the 68th match minute, Guanacarane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucio Jose María Casos to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Mario Salazar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maitenes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mario Salazar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 80th minute Mario Salazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Urtaza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yoel Pontigo took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonides Urtaza. Leonides Urtaza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Guanacarane's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
