Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Alejandro Hidalgo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chancon's supporters rose to their feet, but Alejandro Hidalgo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Javier Armanet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alejandro Hidalgo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. José Javier Armanet came out and tried to block the shot, but Alejandro Hidalgo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 13th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Antonio Anabalon got free with José Javier Armanet in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chancon's Manuel Antonio Anabalon got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manuelo Daldos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafín Boonen having to interfere. After 25 minutes, Felipe Ahues mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coquiao and the Chancon players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 26 played minutes Coquiao got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Ahues. After a defensive mix-up in Chancon's zone, Manuelo Daldos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafín Boonen came out of the goal and Manuelo Daldos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iván Luis Opazo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Manuelo Daldos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute, Manuelo Daldos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute Manuelo Daldos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafín Boonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iván Luis Opazo in the 43rd minute of play forced Chancon's goalkeeper Serafín Boonen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Coquiao's Iván Luis Opazo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Serafín Boonen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

52 minutes into the match, Chancon's goalkeeper Serafín Boonen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manuelo Daldos. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manuel Antonio Anabalon in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Javier Armanet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 55 minutes into the game, Manuel Antonio Anabalon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. José Javier Armanet was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Iván Luis Opazo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuelo Daldos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Serafín Boonen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Chancon getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Florín Galván hit a great ball. After 77 played minutes Chancon got a freekick which was hit by Fabián Arias. A hard shot by Honorato Zegarra from long distance, 78 minutes into the match, got Serafín Boonen's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 83 minutes into the match, Chancon's goal looked a bit too open when Iván Luis Opazo came free, but Serafín Boonen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adán Conejeros hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. José Javier Armanet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejandro Hidalgo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Coquiao's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
