The tension between the Calvario and the Paniri FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Calvario's Vasco Fariña got a free kick in the 9th minute. Paniri FC's Claudio Cienfuegos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eder Villouta in the 11th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Paniri FC's Estebano Lautroup ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gustavo Maquieira. Gustavo Maquieira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 18th minute, Francisco Javier Daza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Calvario's Francisco Javier Daza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudio Cienfuegos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Estebano Lautroup in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustavo Maquieira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 26 minutes into the match, Calvario's goalkeeper Gustavo Maquieira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Quique Raab. Gustavo Maquieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Estebano Lautroup, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Quique Raab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paniri FC's Estebano Lautroup got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Calvario's Gustavo Maquieira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Calvario from getting a goal against them. If Eder Villouta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Eder Villouta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Estebano Lautroup managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paniri FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Estebano Lautroup was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustavo Maquieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Francisco Javier Daza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Claudio Cienfuegos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Thompson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 79th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Claudio Cienfuegos. Paniri FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 82nd minute Estebano Lautroup shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Maquieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Francisco Javier Daza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calvario's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Javier Daza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustavo Maquieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nazario Coloma in the 88th minute of the match. Claudio Cienfuegos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calvario.
