Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Miguel Gonzalez in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Danél Portillo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. José Alejandro Patrick made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elías Reyes in the 22nd minute. A collision led to Relbun getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Hugo Orlando Javia hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Relbun's zone, Juan Miguel Gonzalez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danél Portillo came out of the goal and Juan Miguel Gonzalez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes into the match, UNIVERSIDAD DE CHILE's goalkeeper José Alejandro Patrick had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Virgilio Aguad. In the 28th minute, Zygmunt Mochowak made a precise shot to the right of Danél Portillo. Relbun's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juan Miguel Gonzalez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Abdón Narea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A throw-in in the 57th minute of the game was made by Mohamed Lapierre with Hugo Orlando Javia as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After a rather tough play, UNIVERSIDAD DE CHILE's Ernesto Daniel Oxman got a free kick in the 57th minute. Juan Miguel Gonzalez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute, Juan Luis Orbegoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Alejandro Patrick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdón Narea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute of the match Pacífico Madrid shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Danél Portillo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to UNIVERSIDAD DE CHILE getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Ernesto Daniel Oxman hit a great ball. Emanuel Charlin was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 79th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A hard shot 85 in the game by Juan Miguel Gonzalez from a close distance when the talented Danél Portillo managed to make a qualified save. Relbun's players were relieved. Juan Miguel Gonzalez in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Danél Portillo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Danél Portillo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juan Miguel Gonzalez went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score.
