Ismael Lautroup recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Narcomillo Lauwerens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Lautroup in the 19th minute of play. In the 26th minute Duardo Raggio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narcomillo Lauwerens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Américo Saravia during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Seron was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Américo Saravia to maneuver through the defense. Ismael Lautroup sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulises Gebler in the 44th minute of play forced Patillos's goalkeeper Fortunato Astigueta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacob Echazarreta kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

After a defensive mix-up in Patillos's zone, Ulises Gebler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fortunato Astigueta came out of the goal and Ulises Gebler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Patillos defense, Rafa Morel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fortunato Astigueta. The Patillos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fortunato Astigueta should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duardo Raggio in the 86th minute of play forced Seron's goalkeeper Narcomillo Lauwerens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Patillos's Ismael Lautroup in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Seron's goalie prevented a goal. They were angered to see Patillos lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
