The crowd rose to their feet as Los Guerreros's Karlos Jeréz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Santiago Pairoa. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. 12 minutes in the game, Gonzalo Detmer fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Santiago Pairoa having to interfere. Karlos Jeréz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcelo Retana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bonifacio Guichard stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelo Retana's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute, Jimeno Salamo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Retana in the 26th minute of play forced Los Guerreros's goalkeeper Bonifacio Guichard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abdón Arévalo kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Bonifacio Guichard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Retana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, Puchurca's Ismael Soupper sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bonifacio Guichard narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Karlos Jeréz made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Guerreros's goalkeeper Bonifacio Guichard, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Marcelo Retana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcelo Retana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 83rd minute of the match, Jimeno Salamo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bonifacio Guichard was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Gonzalo Detmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Santiago Pairoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute Gonzalo Detmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Pairoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Puchurca getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Ismael Soupper hit a great ball. When the match was over Puchurca could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Los Guerreros throughout the match.
