After a rather tough play, Los Guerreros's Maurilio Barril got a free kick in the 8th minute. After 14 minutes of play, Los Guerreros's Abdón Arévalo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnoldo Harun was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Julián Mattensohn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 19 minutes into the match, Los Guerreros's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Portal came free, but Bonifacio Guichard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 20 in the game by Julián Mattensohn from a close distance when the talented Bonifacio Guichard managed to make a qualified save. Los Guerreros's players were relieved. A collision led to Monolito AFC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Dino Achondo hit a great ball. Gonzalo Detmer struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Arnoldo Harun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Guerreros. The supporters of Los Guerreros booed when Monolito AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dino Achondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dino Achondo kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Monolito AFC's Lino Portal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bonifacio Guichard. Bonifacio Guichard yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lino Portal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gonzalo Detmer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnoldo Harun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th match minute, Monolito AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosme Fassnacht to maneuver through the defense. Arnoldo Harun made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Gonzalo Detmer sent off a good shot on target. 73 minutes into the match, Los Guerreros's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Portal came free, but Bonifacio Guichard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Los Guerreros's Bonifacio Guichard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julián Mattensohn in the 75th minute of play. Bonifacio Guichard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lino Portal in the 77th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Gonzalo Detmer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 82 minutes into the game, Julián Mattensohn cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Bonifacio Guichard was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Monolito AFC's Julián Mattensohn got a free kick in the 85th minute. If Dino Achondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bonifacio Guichard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Portal, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Los Guerreros players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Monolito AFC.
