Uriel Felip showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabián Gumucio in the 22nd minute of the match. If Fabián Gumucio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Álvaro Gamarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cosme Mazuelas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusebio Abbatte's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. After a rather tough play, Yutuy FC's Iván Malaree got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 35th minute, Fabián Gumucio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Uriel Felip was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Álvaro Gamarra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40th minute Álvaro Gamarra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosme Mazuelas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Álvaro Gamarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Álvaro Gamarra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cosme Mazuelas was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Fabián Gumucio put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Uriel Felip. A collision led to Aquina getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Salvador Marull hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Aquina walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
