Diego Armando Dahlgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Ignacio Meckes, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After a rather tough play, Salamanca FC's Wilson De la Barra got a free kick in the 7th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Salamanca FC's zone, Francisco Antonio Van Dijk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zarpas Lanas came out of the goal and Francisco Antonio Van Dijk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wilson De la Barra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Diego Armando Dahlgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Ignacio Meckes in the 24th minute of play forced Folilco's goalkeeper Diego Armando Dahlgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Folilco's goal looked a bit too open when Aristides Alzerreca came free, but Diego Armando Dahlgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Folilco booed when Salamanca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorio Mellibosky didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gaitano Bari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Gaitano Bari sped through Salamanca FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zarpas Lanas. Folilco's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Wilson De la Barra scored to the left of an out of position Diego Armando Dahlgren, making the score, 2-1. Sergi Lauwerens kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaitano Bari was the one to do the kick off. Gaitano Bari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Francisco Antonio Van Dijk came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Folilco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Antonio Van Dijk couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sergi Lauwerens got free with Zarpas Lanas in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Francisco Antonio Van Dijk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zarpas Lanas having to interfere. Gaitano Bari struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Zarpas Lanas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Folilco. After a rather tough play, Salamanca FC's Aristides Alzerreca got a free kick in the 68th minute. After 71 minutes of play, Salamanca FC's Wilson De la Barra made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diego Armando Dahlgren was left in no man's land by his defense there! The long shot by Moisés Isassi in the 79th minute really tested Zarpas Lanas's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Folilco's Gaitano Bari got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Juan Ignacio Meckes might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diego Armando Dahlgren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juan Ignacio Meckes ran back to his position shaking his head. Juan Ignacio Meckes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Diego Armando Dahlgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zarpas Lanas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaitano Bari in the 95th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Salamanca FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Folilco had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
