When Félix Leal fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guayacan AFC's protests and gave Félix Leal a yellow card for diving instead. 4 minutes into the game, one of Guayacan AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Daniel Turrieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Opazo having to interfere. Rafael Maria Blanch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Paulo Opazo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Daniel Turrieta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guayacan AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Turrieta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Opazo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The attack was good, but when Rafael Maria Blanch in the 18th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Rafael Maria Blanch's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Opazo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Filipo Facuse kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Salamanca AFC's zone, Daniel Turrieta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Opazo came out of the goal and Daniel Turrieta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Guayacan AFC's Rafael Maria Blanch fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Salamanca AFC's Lucio Jose María Goicoechea got a free kick in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Turrieta in the 31st minute of play forced Salamanca AFC's goalkeeper Paulo Opazo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Daniel Turrieta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo Opazo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 42 played minutes Salamanca AFC got a freekick which was hit by Lucio Jose María Goicoechea.

The wind increased when Celestino Letelier made the kick off in the second half. Celestino Letelier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Miguel Ángel Restovic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alvino Valdivia hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Filipo Facuse hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Daniel Turrieta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Paulo Opazo made a huge save. If Quintán Kilpatrick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Maria Blanch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Turrieta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Salamanca AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Rafael Maria Blanch 61 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. In the 73rdth minute of the game Celestino Letelier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guayacan AFC's Miguel Ángel Restovic was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Salamanca AFC's Paulo Opazo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Salamanca AFC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Guayacan AFC booed when Salamanca AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipo Facuse didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Menéndez Mac Intyre took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Paulo Opazo to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael Maria Blanch in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Opazo saved Salamanca AFC from getting behind. When Guayacan AFC's Rafael Maria Blanch in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Salamanca AFC's goalie prevented a goal.
