Evelio Van Schowen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Mario Jesus Marzullo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Bermúdez having to interfere. Fausto Bermúdez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Machuca in the 13th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Mario Jesus Marzullo put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Fausto Bermúdez. An unexpected shot in the 19th minute by Mariano Machuca got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Podador Camacho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mario Jesus Marzullo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mario Jesus Marzullo took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fausto Bermúdez. Fausto Bermúdez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Fausto Bermúdez made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Mariano Machuca sent off a good shot on target. Fausto Bermúdez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mario Jesus Marzullo's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. If Mariano Machuca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Barriles's zone, Mario Jesus Marzullo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Bermúdez came out of the goal and Mario Jesus Marzullo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mario Jesus Marzullo to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Barriles got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Ganter. Mario Jesus Marzullo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Bermúdez having to interfere. If Mariano Machuca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mario Jesus Marzullo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mariano Machuca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Fausto Bermúdez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 63 played minutes Puntillas AFC got a freekick which was hit by Luis Barrientos. If Mariano Machuca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Rubén Irisarri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rubén Irisarri kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After having played for 74 minutes, Mario Jesus Marzullo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Puntillas AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mario Jesus Marzullo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Barriles's Podador Camacho in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Puntillas AFC's goalie prevented a goal. 79 minutes into the match, Barriles's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Machuca came free, but Fausto Bermúdez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Hermelando Fassnacht fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barriles's protests and gave Hermelando Fassnacht a yellow card for diving instead. After 80 played minutes Barriles got a freekick which was hit by Hermelando Fassnacht. Mariano Machuca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Fausto Bermúdez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Puntillas AFC's Mario Jesus Marzullo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fausto Bermúdez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mario Jesus Marzullo in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fausto Bermúdez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mario Jesus Marzullo struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Fausto Bermúdez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Puntillas AFC. Podador Camacho might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evelio Van Schowen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Podador Camacho ran back to his position shaking his head. Aaron Vilches hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
