After a defensive mix-up in Sitani's zone, Eliazar Valderrama stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vinos Solminihac came out of the goal and Eliazar Valderrama tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th minute, Nacho Oyanedel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 14 played minutes, Sitani's Firmín Mac Rae shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Camilo Marcó came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sitani reached it. In the 15th minute Ubaldo Phillips shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Marcó saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ubaldo Phillips fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Marcó having to interfere. After 22 minutes of play, Sitani's Ubaldo Phillips made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Camilo Marcó was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Ezequiel Toledo came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Tejeria FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ezequiel Toledo couldn't finish the play. Ezequiel Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eliazar Valderrama fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinos Solminihac having to interfere. Vinos Solminihac took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ezequiel Toledo to strike the kick off in the second half. Vinos Solminihac showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliazar Valderrama in the 51st minute of the match. The supporters of Sitani booed when Tejeria FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peio Elorriaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bermejo Llana's late challenge caught a Tejeria FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bermejo Llana helped the player get up and apologised. After 60 played minutes Sitani got a freekick which was hit by Bermejo Llana. Bermejo Llana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Camilo Marcó tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Camilo Marcó showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ubaldo Phillips in the 73rd minute of the match. Regino Simaverti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Camilo Marcó read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Sitani's Regino Simaverti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Camilo Marcó narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 83 minutes, Ubaldo Phillips managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sitani's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ubaldo Phillips was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ezequiel Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
