Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Yaquil's Ariel Campos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vinos Solminihac stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ariel Campos's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Ariel Campos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vinos Solminihac read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Paulín Poblete charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulín Poblete the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 9 played minutes, Sitani's Sebastián Turull shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Silvio Triviño came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sitani reached it. Silvio Triviño came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Sitani's Regino Simaverti. But to his dismay, Regino Simaverti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of Yaquil booed when Sitani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bermejo Llana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bermejo Llana kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Paulo Berendique was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 15th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Silvio Triviño didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Regino Simaverti went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 27th minute, Rafael Urbina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ariel Campos came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Yaquil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ariel Campos couldn't finish the play. Amado Devoto's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Vinos Solminihac skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

If Ubaldo Phillips had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Regino Simaverti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the match, Amado Devoto notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Sitani's Vinos Solminihac. Vinos Solminihac was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ubaldo Phillips sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Ubaldo Phillips reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Silvio Triviño. The goal made the score 1-3. Silvio Triviño took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaldo Phillips, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Ariel Campos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vinos Solminihac was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Amado Devoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinos Solminihac having to interfere. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Yaquil's goalkeeper Silvio Triviño, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Paulín Poblete was shown his second yellow card after 92 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Regino Simaverti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Silvio Triviño tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Sitani supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sitani would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
