Nafarroa Tirado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the game, Evelio Naranjo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Huilqueco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mocopulli AFC the free kick. The supporters of Mocopulli AFC booed when Huilqueco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Naranjo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute of the match Mocopulli AFC got a corner. Huilqueco's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roland Plummer ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliciano Pensa in the 46th minute of play forced Mocopulli AFC's goalkeeper Juan Ignacio Zúñiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Constancio Olivera got free with Juan Ignacio Zúñiga in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When Rogerio Boonen fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mocopulli AFC's protests and gave Rogerio Boonen a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Huilqueco booed when Mocopulli AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogerio Boonen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hernán Blanc got his second yellow card in the match during the 85th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Constancio Olivera sped through Mocopulli AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Juan Ignacio Zúñiga. Huilqueco's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
