After 30 played minutes Dupont got a freekick which was hit by Eder Maack. When Leandro Abufhele fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dupont's protests and gave Leandro Abufhele a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Dupont fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 32nd minute. Penalty! Xabel Amaral went to the wrong direction when Josías Millán was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Darío Irisarri managed to get in a good position for a shot. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Laureano Urquidi to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Iris's zone, Rubén Carvajal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ezequiel Jaime came out of the goal and Rubén Carvajal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 53 minutes into the match, Narcís Jaime had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ezequiel Jaime. Iris's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Narcís Jaime was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Darío Irisarri struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Xabel Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iris. In the 58th minute, Carlos Heredia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Laureano Urquidi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roger Lasa charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roger Lasa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ezequiel Jaime didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Narcís Jaime went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Ezequiel Jaime was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Narcís Jaime fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel Jaime having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Dupont had won after a very even match.
