Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Laureano Urquidi took the kick off in the first half of the match. Zacarías Raffo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel Jaime having to interfere. 6 minutes into the match, Darío Irisarri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gabino Erwenne. Lincay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Darío Irisarri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The supporters of Lincay booed when Iris was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Nazario Polo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience cheered when Rodrigo Farren's long shot passed Ezequiel Jaime's right side. It was 1-1, 14 minutes into the match. In the 17th match minute, Iris was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Lasa to maneuver through the defense. Pío Picarte scored 2-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ezequiel Jaime, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Laureano Urquidi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Ismael Nazario Polo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iris's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismael Nazario Polo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabino Erwenne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Lincay getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Uriel Chavarria hit a great ball. When Laureano Urquidi came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Iris fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laureano Urquidi couldn't finish the play. Pío Picarte in the 40thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ezequiel Jaime, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some careless play in the Lincay defense, Laureano Urquidi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gabino Erwenne. The Lincay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gabino Erwenne should have stopped the shot. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gregorio Sales to make the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 54th minute by Darío Irisarri got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gregorio Sales in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ezequiel Jaime saved Iris from getting behind. 59 minutes into the game, Gregorio Sales was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lincay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Iris the free kick. In the 63rd minute, Zacarías Raffo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Darío Irisarri came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Iris fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darío Irisarri couldn't finish the play. Gabino Erwenne made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Ezequiel Jaime took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregorio Sales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Iris's zone, Gregorio Sales stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ezequiel Jaime came out of the goal and Gregorio Sales tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Lincay's Víctor Javier Rossel got a free kick in the 81st minute. 85 minutes into the match, Pío Picarte notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of Iris's Ezequiel Jaime. Ezequiel Jaime was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 89 minutes into the match, Iris's goal looked a bit too open when Pío Picarte came free, but Ezequiel Jaime reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ezequiel Jaime took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pío Picarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Gregorio Sales came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Lincay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gregorio Sales couldn't finish the play.
