Oliverio Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noé Llana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 11 minutes, Fabián Cabezas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maichin and the Tahuinco players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Maichin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabián Cabezas to maneuver through the defense. Oliverio Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Israel Saldías, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The supporters of Maichin booed when Tahuinco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Manuel Ornaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tahuinco's Carlos Fagalde proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Tahuinco from getting a goal against them. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Israel Saldías to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Maichin's zone, Noé Llana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oliverio Souza came out of the goal and Noé Llana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 53rd match minute, Maichin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabián Cabezas to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 55th minute by Noé Llana got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 59th minute Nereo Jarpa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Fagalde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Manuel Ornaz's late challenge caught a Maichin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Manuel Ornaz helped the player get up and apologised. Oliverio Souza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Israel Saldías's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. If Nereo Jarpa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Carlos Fagalde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geofredo Portillo in the 71st minute of the match. When Juliano Baeza fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maichin's protests and gave Juliano Baeza a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tahuinco booed when Maichin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juliano Baeza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Noé Llana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Fabián Cabezas was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 80 minutes had been played. After 87 minutes of play Maichin's Juliano Baeza was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by Maichin's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ceferino Cruzat was slow to take the kick. During this time Tahuinco's players had a chance to rest. Ceferino Cruzat made a great header on Tahuinco's corner, it was just that Maichin's Oliverio Souza managed to reach the ball for a save. Noé Llana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliverio Souza having to interfere.
