The supporters of Guadaba booed when Lampa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duardo Vargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Lampa getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Carlos José Barcoj hit a great ball. Mark Gaona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ángel Traverso, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ángel Traverso in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mark Gaona prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pol Cabrera got free with Marc Fadda in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 13th minute, Ángel Traverso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Duardo Vargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ángel Traverso in the 24th minute of play forced Lampa's goalkeeper Mark Gaona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mark Gaona stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ángel Traverso's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Pol Cabrera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc Fadda having to interfere. Marc Fadda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pol Cabrera in the 35th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Duardo Vargas in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marc Fadda saved Guadaba from getting behind. 39 minutes into the match, Guadaba's goal looked a bit too open when Duardo Vargas came free, but Marc Fadda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marc Fadda came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Lampa's Duardo Vargas. But to his dismay, Duardo Vargas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a rather tough play, Lampa's Nemesio Vivar got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Bernardino Elgueta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Mark Gaona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pau Antoine was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 48 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of Lampa:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Guadaba:s goal. In the 51st minute there was a penalty for Guadaba. Rigoberto Gafo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mark Gaona. 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
