Eufemio Font tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the game, Washington Alveal lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Eufemio Font. Fulco Costabal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Urmeneta having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Nercon AFC's goalkeeper Eufemio Font had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luis Eduardo Porte. With a little luck, Nercon AFC's Eufemio Font got control of the ball when Luis Eduardo Porte tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Fulco Costabal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nercon AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fulco Costabal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 74th minute, Lorencio Jara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lorencio Jara couldn't finish the play. Celestino Dagorret charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celestino Dagorret the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Nercon AFC's zone, Luis Eduardo Porte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eufemio Font came out of the goal and Luis Eduardo Porte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
