Rolando Urmeneta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nacho De Rurange, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nacho De Rurange to strike the kick off in the second half. Lino Andreu was shown his second yellow card after 95 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 97th match minute, Maquegua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lino Andreu to maneuver through the defense. Chucuyo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
