In the 9th minute, Quim Marquezado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 11th minute, Teodor Galilea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Quim Marquezado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaac Cuenca having to interfere. Juan Pinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Alachildu's Xabier Vidaurre got a free kick in the 18th minute. Teodor Galilea struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Alonzo Alfonso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moncopulli. Teodor Galilea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alonzo Alfonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horacio Jesus Angeloni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Horacio Jesus Angeloni's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alonzo Alfonso was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. In the 38th match minute, Alachildu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorino Pantaleon to maneuver through the defense. Xabier Vidaurre charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xabier Vidaurre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Moncopulli booed when Alachildu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xabier Vidaurre didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Alachildu's zone, Horacio Jesus Angeloni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alonzo Alfonso came out of the goal and Horacio Jesus Angeloni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Horacio Jesus Angeloni to strike the kick off in the second half. Quim Marquezado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Isaac Cuenca having to make a save. Horacio Jesus Angeloni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Alonzo Alfonso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Alachildu getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Victorino Pantaleon hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the match, Moncopulli's Bartolomé Moñiz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roland Arteta during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 66th minute, Roland Arteta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute, Juan Pinto fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Moncopulli's zone, Juan Pinto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaac Cuenca came out of the goal and Juan Pinto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quim Marquezado in the 80th minute of play forced Moncopulli's goalkeeper Isaac Cuenca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Moncopulli's goalkeeper Isaac Cuenca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan Pinto. After 84 played minutes Alachildu got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Alen. Juan Pinto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Isaac Cuenca made a huge save. Victorino Pantaleon hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
