Gerardo Aballay was out of position in the 6 minute of play, and Duardo Fermandois capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Duardo Fermandois really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After a rather tough play, Chapiquina AFC's Pablo Nebel got a free kick in the 10th minute. With a little luck, Alcantara AFC's Gerardo Aballay got control of the ball when David Israel Kirck tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 27th minute of the match Pablo Nebel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gerardo Aballay showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A hard shot 30 in the game by David Israel Kirck from a close distance when the talented Gerardo Aballay managed to make a qualified save. Alcantara AFC's players were relieved. 32 minutes into the match, Alcantara AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Duardo Fermandois came free, but Gerardo Aballay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If David Israel Kirck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 42nd minute, Alcantara AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after David Israel Kirck fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Adalberto Cerda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee felt a red card was in order, 48 minutes into the game, when Ariel Duguid put in a rough tackle. 47 minutes into the game, one of Alcantara AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Duardo Fermandois stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adalberto Cerda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Odol Villarroel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Israel Kirck in the 62nd minute of play forced Alcantara AFC's goalkeeper Gerardo Aballay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Alcantara AFC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Benjamín Lapierre hit a great ball. Chapiquina AFC's Odol Villarroel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Chapiquina AFC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Chapiquina AFC booed when Alcantara AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamín Lapierre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerardo Aballay came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Chapiquina AFC's David Israel Kirck. But to his dismay, David Israel Kirck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Gerardo Aballay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Israel Kirck, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Benjamín Lapierre blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Odol Villarroel having to make a save. Many of Alcantara AFC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Alcantara AFC may have spent more time on the ball, but Chapiquina AFC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
