Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Taruguiri's Hernán Heiremans started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, José Antonio Illanes Ansaldo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Huaracina's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Antonio Illanes Ansaldo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Taruguiri's Ezmundo Patterson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Antonio Illanes Ansaldo in the 6th minute of play. After 13 minutes, José Antonio Illanes Ansaldo made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Taruguiri's Ezmundo Patterson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Huaracina's goalkeeper Rosalio Albuerne, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Huaracina defense, Efraín Antipa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rosalio Albuerne. The Huaracina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rosalio Albuerne should have stopped the shot. When Taruguiri's Hernán Heiremans in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Huaracina's goalie prevented a goal. Efraín Antipa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rosalio Albuerne having to interfere. Rosalio Albuerne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernán Heiremans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Domenico Paternost kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Taruguiri's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 46th minute of the game, when Juan Raúl Couve after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Huaracina's goal. Juan Raúl Couve was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raúl Diban to make the kick off. Huaracina were furious when Cerilo Achondo was red carded, 52 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 55th minute there was a penalty for Taruguiri. Juan Raúl Couve stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rosalio Albuerne. 2-1. A collision led to Huaracina getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Amadeo Mundaca hit a great ball. In the 58th minute, Juan Raúl Couve got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Albin Súnico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hernán Heiremans in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rosalio Albuerne prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Esteban José Macaya hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Huaracina's zone, Efraín Antipa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rosalio Albuerne came out of the goal and Efraín Antipa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th minute, Domenico Paternost hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeremías Cea hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Efraín Antipa in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rosalio Albuerne prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Efraín Antipa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rosalio Albuerne having to interfere. In the 76th minute Hernán Heiremans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosalio Albuerne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th match minute, Huaracina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremías Cea to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Hernán Heiremans managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taruguiri's supporters rose to their feet, but Hernán Heiremans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rosalio Albuerne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. José Antonio Illanes Ansaldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Ezmundo Patterson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Taruguiri's Ezmundo Patterson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Taruguiri from getting a goal against them. Rosalio Albuerne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernán Heiremans in the 87th minute of the match. Emanuel Paillemil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rosalio Albuerne having to interfere. Marciano Rueda's late challenge caught a Taruguiri's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marciano Rueda helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Huaracina's Marciano Rueda got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After having played for 97 minutes, José Antonio Illanes Ansaldo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Huaracina's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Antonio Illanes Ansaldo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Taruguiri's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
