The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Morrillos's Raymundo Marileo got control of the ball when Alipio Pedemonte tried to sneak it across the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Celino Echeverría was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Zavier Higuera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Morrillos's supporters rose to their feet, but Zavier Higuera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonio Herdoyza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antonio Herdoyza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zavier Higuera in the 54th minute of play. The referee ignored Morrillos's protests and gave Cristiano Maack a yellow card for diving instead. Alipio Pedemonte ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 80th minute, Flavio Allison hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute, Alipio Pedemonte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Raymundo Marileo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alipio Pedemonte went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Morrillos's zone, Alipio Pedemonte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raymundo Marileo came out of the goal and Alipio Pedemonte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle went the supporters of Morrillos were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Bodenca FC side.
