Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Paniahue's Robert Duval started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Carahue's zone, Robert Duval stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergio Baettig came out of the goal and Robert Duval tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Carahue's Sergio Baettig got control of the ball when Severo Puertocarrero tried to sneak it across the goal line. 13 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Paniahue's Robert Duval fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Severo Puertocarrero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Severo Puertocarrero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Baettig having to interfere. If Severo Puertocarrero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Carahue's Carmelo Alzaga in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Paniahue's goalie prevented a goal. Severo Puertocarrero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Sergio Baettig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariano Duguid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paniahue's Lino Escalona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Alzaga in the 38th minute of play. Juan Eduardo Galeno kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Sergio Baettig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Duval, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robert Duval struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Sergio Baettig didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paniahue. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carmelo Alzaga to strike the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes, Hipolito Asmussen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carahue and the Paniahue players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Carahue's Hipolito Asmussen got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 59th minute, Robert Duval ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sergio Baettig was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Paniahue's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Carmelo Alzaga scored to the left of an out of position Lino Escalona, making the score, 1-1. In the 68th minute Robert Duval shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Baettig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Paniahue booed when Carahue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipo Argandoña didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Severo Puertocarrero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carahue's Hipolito Asmussen got his second yellow card of the match in the 79th minute. The referee ordered Hipolito Asmussen off the ground. In the 79th minute, Hipolito Asmussen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute of the match Paniahue got a corner. Carahue's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Martino Carter ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Carahue's goalie and right to Uriel Salcedo. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Carahue's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Sergio Baettig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severo Puertocarrero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 88 minutes, Robert Duval managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paniahue's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Duval was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carahue's Sergio Baettig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Duval in the 90th minute of play. The corner ended in Rainerio Alamos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Paniahue's Lino Escalona did a great save. Paniahue were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
