Romualdo Melivilu charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a defensive mix-up in Quilimanzano's zone, Quentín Argo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felipo Marmolejo came out of the goal and Quentín Argo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Quentín Argo to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Rivadavia AFC defense, Tauro Fehrmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonardo Alvarado. The Rivadavia AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonardo Alvarado should have stopped the shot. Filomeno Pellegri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Quilimanzano getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Emilio Felipe Bastías hit a great ball. Tauro Fehrmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Leonardo Alvarado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Soriano Bolados hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 86 minutes into the game, Jon-Ander Santana-Bauzá cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Leonardo Alvarado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Emilio Felipe Bastías had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
