The supporters of Tiquina AFC booed when Iluga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albino Godarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gabino Leal to make the kick off. Jaime Pantaleon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sarracino Tobar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Bertrán Chopitea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Pruniel, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. If Jaime Pantaleon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Tiquina AFC's Sarracino Tobar got control of the ball when Jaime Pantaleon tried to sneak it across the goal line. 69 minutes into the game, Baudelio Ramos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guido Pruniel couldn't finish the play. Damián Carmona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bertrán Chopitea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Iluga eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
