After a defensive mix-up in Tinguiririca FC's zone, Tito Wassermayer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Pablo Siredey came out of the goal and Tito Wassermayer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Modesto Gredig in the 30th minute of play forced Tinguiririca FC's goalkeeper Juan Pablo Siredey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jose Esteban Orsterhont in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juan Maffioletti saved Poyo from getting behind. Jose Esteban Orsterhont sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes in the game, Pinone Botero fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Juan Maffioletti having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Esteban Orsterhont in the 40th minute of play forced Poyo's goalkeeper Juan Maffioletti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Poyo's goal looked a bit too open when Jose Esteban Orsterhont came free, but Juan Maffioletti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Jose Esteban Orsterhont kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Juan Maffioletti. That made the score 2-0 in the 43 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tito Wassermayer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Roy Huneeus kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. When Pinone Botero came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Tinguiririca FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pinone Botero couldn't finish the play. In the 62nd match minute, Poyo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezmundo Maino to maneuver through the defense. Jose Esteban Orsterhont took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juan Maffioletti. Juan Maffioletti dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Juan Maffioletti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pinone Botero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Pinone Botero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the match, Poyo's goal looked a bit too open when Pinone Botero came free, but Juan Maffioletti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Tinguiririca FC fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Tinguiririca FC's Pinone Botero looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Modesto Gredig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tito Wassermayer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tinguiririca FC's goalkeeper Juan Pablo Siredey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ezmundo Maino charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ezmundo Maino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Tinguiririca FC fully deserved thier win.
