Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Salamón Mac Clure in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adriel Reygadas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Saguani AFC's Remicio Bastarrica got a free kick in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karlos Pemjean in the 7th minute of play forced Saguani AFC's goalkeeper Adriel Reygadas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Toni Oviedo charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Toni Oviedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th minute, Karlos Pemjean got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Esteban Traverso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Quique Ruminas in the 13th minute. Karlos Pemjean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriel Reygadas having to interfere. Telmo Celis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Traverso having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Quique Ruminas got free with Esteban Traverso in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Saguani AFC's zone, Karlos Pemjean stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adriel Reygadas came out of the goal and Karlos Pemjean tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salamón Mac Clure in the 32nd minute of play forced Saguani AFC's goalkeeper Adriel Reygadas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35thth minute of the game Telmo Celis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cuenca's Esteban Traverso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Quique Ruminas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Esteban Traverso made a huge save. If Quique Ruminas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 39 minutes into the match, Saguani AFC's Telmo Celis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Esteban Traverso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Karlos Pemjean ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adriel Reygadas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Salamón Mac Clure to make the kick off. Quique Ruminas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 55 minutes into the game, Saguani AFC's Telmo Celis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Esteban Traverso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Telmo Celis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Cuenca getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Albano Cristofanini hit a great ball. If Albano Cristofanini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karlos Pemjean could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Adriel Reygadas made a huge save. A collision led to Cuenca getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Karlos Pemjean hit a great ball. Telmo Celis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Traverso having to interfere. In the 80th minute Quique Ruminas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteban Traverso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adriel Reygadas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salamón Mac Clure in the 82nd minute of play. Karlos Pemjean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriel Reygadas having to interfere. If Salamón Mac Clure had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 98 minutes into the match, Cuenca's goal looked a bit too open when Quique Ruminas came free, but Esteban Traverso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
