After 5 played minutes Ibacache got a freekick which was hit by Firmín Villarino. Josías Miquel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefano Ustariz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stefano Ustariz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Josías Miquel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 12 minutes, Firmín Villarino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibacache's supporters crossed their fingers, but Firmín Villarino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute, Tanausu Ariza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raúlo Munita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Josías Miquel. Huillinco's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Stefano Ustariz struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Josías Miquel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ibacache. Josué Iriarte hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Celedonio Codina succeeded in the game's 26th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. After 30 minutes, Filipo Koch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Huillinco and the Ibacache players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Huillinco getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Filipo Koch hit a great ball. In the 31st minute Stefano Ustariz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josías Miquel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stefano Ustariz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Josías Miquel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Ibacache's Firmín Villarino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Josías Miquel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Tinguaro Portillo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Epifanío Escalona in the 41st minute. 45 minutes into the match, Firmín Villarino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Josías Miquel. Huillinco's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Firmín Villarino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Firmín Villarino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Epifanío Escalona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alesandro Fuica took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Josías Miquel. Huillinco's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Firmín Villarino in the 54th minute of play forced Huillinco's goalkeeper Josías Miquel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ibacache:s Tinguaro Portillo showed great skill when he stopped Filipo Koch:s penalty. Filipo Koch took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tinguaro Portillo. Tinguaro Portillo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Ibacache's Stefano Ustariz got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Alejandro Lavanderos struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Josías Miquel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Tinguaro Portillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Epifanío Escalona in the 97th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Huillinco had won after a very even match.
