Américo Arce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eriberto Quitral, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 9th minute, Eriberto Quitral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Caupolicán Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Arce having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Pepe Nolibuat sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Puchultisa AFC's Américo Arce didn't even have to move. Caupolicán Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Tarapaca AFC fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Tarapaca AFC's Eriberto Quitral looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Eriberto Quitral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Caupolicán Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Arce having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Tarapaca AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Txomin Urquidi came free, but Soriano Serna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When David Israel Gebauer came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Puchultisa AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Israel Gebauer couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

With a little luck, Tarapaca AFC's Soriano Serna got control of the ball when David Israel Gebauer tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Txomin Urquidi in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Soriano Serna saved Tarapaca AFC from getting behind. If Caupolicán Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eriberto Quitral got in the 65th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Américo Arce handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Eriberto Quitral might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Américo Arce. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eriberto Quitral ran back to his position shaking his head. Txomin Urquidi struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Soriano Serna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Puchultisa AFC. Magdaleno Nilo charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Magdaleno Nilo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 74th match minute, Puchultisa AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magdaleno Nilo to maneuver through the defense. Puchultisa AFC's Américo Arce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto Quitral in the 77th minute of play. Américo Arce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caupolicán Barbosa in the 98th minute of the match.
