Eder Carrizo charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The Rosario fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacindo Nil should have stopped the shot. If Elias Ríos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elias Ríos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nauzet Rioseco struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. In the 67th match minute, Varrillar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nauzet Rioseco to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the match, Rosario's goal looked a bit too open when Nauzet Rioseco came free, but Jacindo Nil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Virgilio Brieba might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacindo Nil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
