Nicodemo Arcangel might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eric Nogueira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicodemo Arcangel ran back to his position shaking his head. Rutenio Jaime fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Nogueira having to interfere. After 13 played minutes Ninquihue FC got a freekick which was hit by Saúl Schaub. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abner Pareja in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laureano Jarabran saved Ninquihue FC from getting behind. Gessel's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Nicodemo Arcangel scored to the left of an out of position Eric Nogueira, making the score, 1-0. Eric Nogueira was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Nicodemo Arcangel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nicodemo Arcangel really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Nicodemo Arcangel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Eric Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saúl Schaub kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rutenio Jaime was the one to do the kick off. After 57 played minutes Gessel got a freekick which was hit by Severiano Sutil. After 62 played minutes Gessel got a freekick which was hit by Mohamed Ureta. The audience was convinced that Rutenio Jaime's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eric Nogueira was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Rutenio Jaime managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ninquihue FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rutenio Jaime was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eric Nogueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 67 minutes into the game, Jose Esteban Duran was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gessel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ninquihue FC the free kick. After 67 played minutes Gessel got a freekick which was hit by Jose Esteban Duran. In the 74th minute Nicodemo Arcangel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Nogueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rutenio Jaime had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Odol Espejo hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Juan Alfonso Scapini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicodemo Arcangel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Nogueira having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ninquihue FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gessel had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
