Ofelio Lanchares who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Ramiro Pardo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 16 minutes into the match, Victoria FC's Ofelio Lanchares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ramiro Pardo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th minute of the match Belmiro Mascayo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pol Salin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ramiro Pardo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ofelio Lanchares in the 22nd minute. The supporters of Victoria FC booed when Ekewetti FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Belmiro Mascayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute, Ofelio Lanchares made a precise shot to the right of Ramiro Pardo. Ekewetti FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Ofelio Lanchares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Pol Salin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marín Idoate to strike the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the match, Ekewetti FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marín Idoate came free, but Ramiro Pardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th match minute, Ekewetti FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Echedey Otarola to maneuver through the defense. Ramiro Pardo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marín Idoate went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Ekewetti FC defense, Ofelio Lanchares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ramiro Pardo. The Ekewetti FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramiro Pardo should have stopped the shot. Ekewetti FC's Ramiro Pardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ofelio Lanchares in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ekewetti FC's goalkeeper Ramiro Pardo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Ofelio Lanchares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Victoria FC's zone, Rosalio Gavilán stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pol Salin came out of the goal and Rosalio Gavilán tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victoria FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
