Pedro Manuel Maffet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Alberto Becerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Fabricio Van Diest's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alberto Becerra was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Elazar Serey kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Roy Baum. That made the score 1-1 in the 23 minute of play. Florián Duval kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Pedro Manuel Maffet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Alberto Becerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Pedro Manuel Maffet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tilicura's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Manuel Maffet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Becerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Tilicura booed when Yalanusco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Gorigoytía didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Manuel Maffet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elazar Serey couldn't finish the play. In the 42nd minute Firmín Depsch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roy Baum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Firmín Depsch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roy Baum having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Manuel Maffet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alberto Becerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Manuel Maffet in the 52nd minute of the match. Firmín Depsch might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roy Baum. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Firmín Depsch ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 58th match minute, Yalanusco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Carter to maneuver through the defense. 63 minutes into the match, Tilicura's goal looked a bit too open when Elazar Serey came free, but Roy Baum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Becerra made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Fabricio Van Diest sent off a good shot on target. Epifanío Blanchetau's late challenge caught a Yalanusco FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Epifanío Blanchetau helped the player get up and apologised. 71 minutes into the game, one of Tilicura:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 73rd minute there was a penalty for Yalanusco FC. Paulo Carter stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Roy Baum. 2-1. Alberto Becerra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabricio Van Diest in the 80th minute. Yalanusco FC's Elazar Serey got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Firmín Depsch managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Yalanusco FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tilicura had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
