EpifanÃo Blanchetau took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arnau Lizana Lezana. Calguay FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Roy Baum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Carlos Prado in the 9th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Manuel Maffet in the 13th minute of play forced Calguay FC's goalkeeper Arnau Lizana Lezana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Regino Pensa fired a really elegant long shot, but Arnau Lizana Lezana threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Carlos Prado in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roy Baum saved Tilicura from getting behind. After 27 played minutes Tilicura got a freekick which was hit by Juan Luis Cristofanini. In the 28th minute, Victor Hugo Mariluan made a precise shot to the right of Roy Baum. Tilicura's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Calguay FC's Arnau Lizana Lezana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Calguay FC from getting a goal against them. The Tilicura players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Calguay FC were winning 0-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Manuel Maffet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tilicura's Roy Baum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Hugo Mariluan in the 51st minute of play. In the 53rd minute Fabricio Van Diest shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnau Lizana Lezana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnau Lizana Lezana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Manuel Maffet in the 62nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Calguay FC's zone, Pedro Manuel Maffet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnau Lizana Lezana came out of the goal and Pedro Manuel Maffet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th minute, Fabricio Van Diest left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tilicura fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 78 minutes in the game, Victor Hugo Mariluan dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. When Fabricio Casos fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Calguay FC's protests and gave Fabricio Casos a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tilicura booed when Calguay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Casos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Juan Carlos Prado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calguay FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Carlos Prado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roy Baum breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Victor Hugo Mariluan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
