Almendro's Domingo Zelada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florentino Poblete in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Mariano Porras in the 6th minute of play forced Poyo AFC's goalkeeper Igor Recasens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Poyo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Zebulón Melgarejo came free, but Igor Recasens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Poyo AFC's Igor Recasens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zebulón Melgarejo in the 10th minute of play. Enrique Mariano Porras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Recasens having to interfere. Almendro's Domingo Zelada proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Almendro from getting a goal against them. Igor Recasens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zebulón Melgarejo in the 17th minute of the match. Florentino Poblete received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Domingo Zelada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Fernán Aránguiz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poyo AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Almendro the free kick. The supporters of Almendro booed when Poyo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernán Aránguiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Aníbal Banda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Igor Recasens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zebulón Melgarejo's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. A collision led to Almendro getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Topocho Maas hit a great ball. Asier Dragicevic recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zebulón Melgarejo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Igor Recasens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ariano Dittmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingo Zelada having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Florentino Poblete was the one to do the kick off. Asier Dragicevic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Zebulón Melgarejo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enrique Mariano Porrass short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Igor Recasens to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Almendro's zone, Asier Dragicevic stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domingo Zelada came out of the goal and Asier Dragicevic tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florentino Poblete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Domingo Zelada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florentino Poblete, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute Florentino Poblete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingo Zelada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Ofelio Palma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Zebulón Melgarejo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Igor Recasens was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. The supporters of Poyo AFC booed when Almendro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Topocho Maas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Igor Recasens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Almendro's Aurelio Abufhele got a free kick in the 96th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
