Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Maitencillo's Reyes Vives started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reyes Vives in the 5th minute of play forced Calaunsa AFC's goalkeeper Saturnino Quilapan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saturnino Quilapan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reyes Vives in the 6th minute of play. When Ubaldo Tellez came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Calaunsa AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubaldo Tellez couldn't finish the play. Calaunsa AFC's Saturnino Quilapan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Hernán Brieba in the 23rd minute of play. After 25 minutes, Timeteo Plaza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maitencillo and the Calaunsa AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th minute, Timeteo Plaza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ubaldo Tellez came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Calaunsa AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubaldo Tellez couldn't finish the play. Benjamín Villota's late challenge caught a Calaunsa AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamín Villota helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Maitencillo getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Benjamín Villota hit a great ball. Plácido Maillard took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Higinio Letelier. Higinio Letelier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 46 minutes into the match, Calaunsa AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Hernán Brieba came free, but Saturnino Quilapan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Reyes Vives received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Saturnino Quilapan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Plácido Maillard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Higinio Letelier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Hernán Brieba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saturnino Quilapan having to interfere. Ubaldo Tellez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higinio Letelier having to interfere. Plácido Maillard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Maitencillo's Reyes Vives sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Saturnino Quilapan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Carlos Hernán Brieba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reyes Vives sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Calaunsa AFC's Saturnino Quilapan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reyes Vives in the 81st minute of play. Mikel Goyeneche kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Ubaldo Tellez scored 2-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Higinio Letelier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Plácido Maillard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Maitencillo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Calaunsa AFC.
