After 7 played minutes Lipita AFC got a freekick which was hit by Tobías Fell. After a defensive mix-up in Lipita AFC's zone, Carlos Abbott stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matias Lisboa came out of the goal and Carlos Abbott tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute, Wilfredo Llaullau made a precise shot to the right of Apolo Languard. Chacao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 15th minute, Bernardino Marcó got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Archibaldo Añasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matias Lisboa having to interfere. Archibaldo Añasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Matias Lisboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matias Lisboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Abbott in the 23rd minute. Archibaldo Añasco's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Matias Lisboa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 36th minute, Archibaldo Añasco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, Lipita AFC's goalkeeper Matias Lisboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clemente Ovalle. Apolo Languard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardino Marcó in the 40th minute of play. Lipita AFC's Matias Lisboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Archibaldo Añasco in the 41st minute of play. If Naelio Orella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Archibaldo Añasco was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Lipita AFC got a freekick which was hit by Herminio Carvacho. The audience thought a goal was coming when Naelio Orella got free with Apolo Languard in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Archibaldo Añasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Lipita AFC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Tobías Fell hit a great ball. In the 66th minute Archibaldo Añasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Lisboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matias Lisboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Archibaldo Añasco in the 70th minute of the match. Wilfredo Llaullau charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilfredo Llaullau the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Wilfredo Llaullau kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 81st match minute, Lipita AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilfredo Llaullau to maneuver through the defense. After 84 played minutes Chacao got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Fassnacht. In the 91st minute, one of Lipita AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lipita AFC. When Archibaldo Añasco came up free with the goalie in the 100th minute, the Chacao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Archibaldo Añasco couldn't finish the play.
