An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteban Planas in the 34th minute of play forced Artificio's goalkeeper Cristián Detmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Lucas Pedregal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tejeria's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Pedregal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristián Detmer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Tejeria's José Javier Araya got control of the ball when Higinio Briones tried to sneak it across the goal line.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Esteban Planas was the one to do the kick off. Tejeria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abdul Cobaleda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0.
