The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Ilta FC's goalkeeper Alvino Estrada had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victor Rojas. If Balendín Barril had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Victor Rojas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvino Estrada having to interfere. Alvino Estrada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Balendín Barril, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 51st minute Milián Lezaeta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Galaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Milián Lezaeta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Rojas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvino Estrada having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Saracota's Hernán Falcone got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 70th minute, Quintén Semir fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rodrigo Galaz, passed just outside the right post. Quintén Semir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Rodrigo Galaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 79 minutes, Quintén Semir managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ilta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Quintén Semir was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81st minute, Quintén Semir reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rodrigo Galaz. The goal made the score 0-1. 90 minutes into the match, Victor Rojas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alvino Estrada. Ilta FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Victor Rojas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Alvino Estrada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Rojas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 94 minutes, Peio Padilla mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ilta FC and the Saracota players grew even worse after the yellow card. Peio Padilla kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Ilta FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
