Bayron Maino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victoriano Soruco in the 7th minute of the match. The corner led Apiau FC's Ludovico Murillo to fire away a dangerous shot which Bayron Maino despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Celino Acle hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Isidro Asenjo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ubaldo Matildo Concha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Jaime Ferrada kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. The supporters of Apiau FC booed when Pupuya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casimír Grove didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florín Zepeda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Bayron Maino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Apiau FC's Ubaldo Matildo Concha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidro Asenjo in the 24th minute of play. Florín Zepeda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bayron Maino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victoriano Soruco, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Isidro Asenjo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Ubaldo Matildo Concha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaime Ferrada showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Milián Botello to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Florín Zepeda during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Apiau FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Florín Zepeda hit a great ball. Milián Botello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ubaldo Matildo Concha having to interfere. Jaime Ferrada charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaime Ferrada the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Apiau FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Jaime Ferrada hit a great ball. If Isidro Asenjo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee ignored Pupuya's protests and gave Casimír Grove a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Pupuya getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Casimír Grove hit a great ball. Milián Botello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Ubaldo Matildo Concha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 95 played minutes Apiau FC got a freekick which was hit by Celino Acle. After 96 played minutes, Pupuya's Jose Manuel Gajardo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ubaldo Matildo Concha came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pupuya reached it. Apiau FC's Ubaldo Matildo Concha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milián Botello in the 98th minute of play. Pupuya's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
