Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Jerardo Azaola started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Cecilio Barrueto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cecilio Barrueto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulises Vega having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cunlagua FC's zone, Jerardo Azaola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Germán Bastic came out of the goal and Jerardo Azaola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecilio Barrueto in the 14th minute of play forced Huenalihuen's goalkeeper Ulises Vega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jerardo Azaola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerardo Azaola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25 played minutes Cunlagua FC got a freekick which was hit by Fidelio Rivas. In the 26th minute, Podador Gallegos sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Cunlagua FC's Germán Bastic didn't even have to move. Marcelino Matte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cecilio Barrueto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Ulises Vega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulises Vega made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Sergio Gamboa sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Darien Rumie in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Germán Bastic saved Cunlagua FC from getting behind. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cunlagua FC! After the first half Huenalihuen were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cecilio Barrueto made a kick off. Huenalihuen's Darien Rumie got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jerardo Azaola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cecilio Barrueto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulises Vega having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cunlagua FC's zone, Darien Rumie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Germán Bastic came out of the goal and Darien Rumie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 65th minute, Jerardo Azaola reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Germán Bastic. The goal made the score 0-2. Darien Rumie struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Germán Bastic didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Huenalihuen. After 73 minutes, Pedro Dueñas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Huenalihuen and the Cunlagua FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 73rd match minute, Huenalihuen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Dueñas to maneuver through the defense. Cecilio Barrueto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Germán Bastic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerardo Azaola in the 81st minute of play. After 84 played minutes Cunlagua FC got a freekick which was hit by Dante Marasso. After recieving a nice pass, Huenalihuen's Podador Gallegos tried to score from far away in the 85th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Jerardo Azaola was extremely unlucky when he, in the 92nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Huenalihuen's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
