Leandro Ventura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Curimon's Aitor Camacho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Curimon from getting a goal against them. Aitor Camacho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdón Guardia in the 9th minute of the match. With a little luck, Curimon's Aitor Camacho got control of the ball when Mauricio Arjona tried to sneak it across the goal line. Curimon's Aitor Camacho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdón Guardia in the 14th minute of play. Marcel Turpin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltazar Araus in the 17th minute of play. When Gregorio Alava fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Curimon's protests and gave Gregorio Alava a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th match minute, Curimon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregorio Alava to maneuver through the defense. Albert Mendiola, 25 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After having played for 29 minutes, Leandro Ventura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curimon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leandro Ventura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Baltazar Araus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Ismael Nazario Olivera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baltazar Araus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Marcel Turpin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Curimon's zone, Abdón Guardia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aitor Camacho came out of the goal and Abdón Guardia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauricio Arjona could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Aitor Camacho made a huge save.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leandro Ventura made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Severo Arregui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute, Albert Mendiola sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Curimon's Aitor Camacho didn't even have to move. Felipo Burgoa charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felipo Burgoa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 58th match minute, Quilimari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipo Burgoa to maneuver through the defense. Quilimari's Mauricio Arjona got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 69th minute, Eliazar Hurtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, Abdón Guardia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aitor Camacho. Curimon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abdón Guardia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Mauricio Arjona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aitor Camacho having to interfere. Abdón Guardia took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aitor Camacho. Aitor Camacho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Quilimari fans cheered their team off the field, for while Curimon had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
