Hermelando Bettini might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan Luis Puertocarrero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hermelando Bettini ran back to his position shaking his head. 80 minutes into the match, Libno's goal looked a bit too open when Ysmael Echavarría came free, but Juan Luis Puertocarrero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ysmael Echavarría couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 89th minute of the game. One of Libno:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pocuro:s goal. In the 91st minute there was a penalty for Pocuro. Jerardo Ibarboure stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Juan Luis Puertocarrero. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Pocuro's Miren Devia got a free kick in the 94th minute. Pocuro were awarded a corner in the 99th minute after Libno's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jerardo Ibarboure took the corner. Pocuro's Ysmael Echavarría was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Juan Luis Puertocarrero in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Pocuro's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
