With a little luck, Cochamo's Fernando Lobillo got control of the ball when Germán Laferte tried to sneak it across the goal line. Conaripe's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Julio Pabst charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Julio Pabst the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Conaripe's Sarracino Durango got a free kick in the 19th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Caupolicán Zelada in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baldomero Campaña prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 26 minutes into the match, Mercé Marcou dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fernando Lobillo, 1-1. Cochamo's Alvino Larraín got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alvino Larraín fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomero Campaña having to interfere. Mercé Marcou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Lobillo having to interfere. Fernando Lobillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Germán Laferte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, Cochamo's goal looked a bit too open when Germán Laferte came free, but Fernando Lobillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 58 minutes, Arnoldo Marti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cochamo and the Conaripe players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Cochamo getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Arnoldo Marti hit a great ball. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cochamo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Carlos Manuel De la Fuente was slow to take the kick. During this time Conaripe's players had a chance to rest. Cochamo's Fernando Lobillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mercé Marcou in the 64th minute of play. The supporters of Conaripe booed when Cochamo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnoldo Marti didn't get a good kick on the ball. 1-2 became the score in the 68th minute when Caupolicán Zelada elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Fernando Lobillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Germán Laferte in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mercé Marcou in the 74th minute of play forced Cochamo's goalkeeper Fernando Lobillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Germán Laferte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Fernando Lobillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mercé Marcou in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernando Lobillo saved Cochamo from getting behind. Mercé Marcou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Lobillo having to interfere. Germán Laferte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute, Mercé Marcou ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernando Lobillo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Conaripe's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Caupolicán Zelada scored to the left of an out of position Baldomero Campaña, making the score, 2-3. The Cochamo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
