In the 16th match minute, Linua AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tanausu Barth to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute of the match Leonel Ayarza shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Matias Backhouse showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rexino Ganter during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, Linua AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rexino Ganter to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Saverio Lefebre got free with Fernando Lobillo in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Caupolicán Zelada scored 1-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matias Backhouse, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 42 minutes, Saverio Lefebre made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cochamo's Fernando Lobillo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Fernando Lobillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gervasio Jelves in the 45th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gervasio Jelves to make the kick off. Alvino Larraín blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Matias Backhouse having to make a save. In the 63rd minute Caupolicán Zelada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Backhouse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute of the match Santiago Jimenez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Matias Backhouse showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Fernando Lobillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gervasio Jelves in the 75th minute of the match. Andolín Delano kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Matias Backhouse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Marti, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 95th minute, Alvino Larraín left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cochamo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. The Cochamo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
