The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramiro Aranguea during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ramiro Aranguea hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. 5 minutes into the match, Ochagavia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frances Cabanillas came free, but Miguel Ángel Maristany reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th minute Frances Cabanillas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Ángel Maristany saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Montella AFC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Filiberto Bruce hit a great ball. Fausto Pirazzoli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salamón Paillemil in the 24th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Montella AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Biggs came free, but Fausto Pirazzoli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salamón Paillemil in the 33rd minute of play forced Montella AFC's goalkeeper Fausto Pirazzoli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Madeo Marmolejo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montella AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Madeo Marmolejo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Ángel Maristany breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th minute, Frances Cabanillas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Miguel Ángel Maristany. The goal made the score 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Salamón Paillemil made a kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Salamón Paillemil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ochagavia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salamón Paillemil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silvino Polhemus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 56 minutes into the game, Silvino Polhemus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montella AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ochagavia FC the free kick. The supporters of Ochagavia FC booed when Montella AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvino Polhemus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ochagavia FC's Marco Biggs got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 62nd minute Salamón Paillemil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Pirazzoli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 62 minutes, Filiberto Bruce mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montella AFC and the Ochagavia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd minute, Filiberto Bruce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 75 minutes, Adelio Siengelo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montella AFC and the Ochagavia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Adelio Siengelo kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Marco Biggs's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Fausto Pirazzoli skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Marco Biggs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marco Biggss short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Fausto Pirazzoli to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Marco Biggs who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Fausto Pirazzoli when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Montella AFC fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Montella AFC's Silvino Polhemus looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Marco Biggs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Pirazzoli having to interfere. Silvino Polhemus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Miguel Ángel Maristany tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
