Amado Iriberry made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ysmael Wirth in the 3rd minute of play. Tomasino Villarreal charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomasino Villarreal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 5 played minutes Trancura got a freekick which was hit by Tomasino Villarreal. Leandro Aburto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patricio Agnese having to interfere. If Leandro Aburto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustavo Talamilla during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 25 minutes, Gerónimo Ferreiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Antilhue FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerónimo Ferreiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute Clemente Buitrago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amado Iriberry saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Trancura's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Aburto came free, but Patricio Agnese reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute Sisebuto Eslava shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amado Iriberry saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 54th minute, Juan Araus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sisebuto Eslava in the 70th minute of play forced Antilhue FC's goalkeeper Amado Iriberry to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sisebuto Eslava fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amado Iriberry having to interfere. Amado Iriberry made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ysmael Wirth in the 75th minute. Calixto Markmann kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. With a little luck, Antilhue FC's Amado Iriberry got control of the ball when Ysmael Wirth tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Trancura getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Rogerio Faez hit a great ball. Antilhue FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Juan Araus in the 85th minute. The corner led to Antilhue FC's Candido Marull getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Amado Iriberry made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Ysmael Wirth sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sisebuto Eslava in the 95th minute of play forced Antilhue FC's goalkeeper Amado Iriberry to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
