The referee ignored Mani's protests and gave Carlos Mazuelas a yellow card for diving instead. Carlos Mazuelas kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Moquella AFC's Severino Bobadilla tried to score from far away in the 10th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Odol Galeas put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Alexandro Manghy. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aníbal Isassi in the 18th minute of play forced Moquella AFC's goalkeeper Tauro Ulibarrigamboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Tauro Ulibarrigamboa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 22 minutes into the match, Mani's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Parker came free, but Alexandro Manghy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mani's Aníbal Isassi got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tauro Ulibarrigamboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Isassi, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. When Severino Bobadilla fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Moquella AFC's protests and gave Severino Bobadilla a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mani booed when Moquella AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Bobadilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Aníbal Isassi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tauro Ulibarrigamboa. The goal made the score 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Odol Galeas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Mani's zone, Rodrigo Parker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandro Manghy came out of the goal and Rodrigo Parker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tauro Ulibarrigamboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aníbal Isassi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tauro Ulibarrigamboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aníbal Isassi in the 55th minute of the match. Mani's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Enrique Mariano Arriola in the 66th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Odol Galeas in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexandro Manghy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Odol Galeas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Odol Galeas struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Alexandro Manghy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moquella AFC. Odol Galeas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 78 played minutes Moquella AFC got a freekick which was hit by Abdón Foster. After a defensive mix-up in Moquella AFC's zone, Aníbal Isassi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tauro Ulibarrigamboa came out of the goal and Aníbal Isassi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aníbal Isassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Tauro Ulibarrigamboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Moquella AFC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Francisco Martín Mercado hit a great ball. Mani's Aníbal Isassi managed to work through Moquella AFC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Aníbal Isassi dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Marcelino Aliste received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Tauro Ulibarrigamboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
